Equipment

The group has access to the following equipment:

1. Spectrofluorimeter Edinburgh Instruments FLSP920.
Steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence. Steady-state excitation and emission in the wavelength region 250-850 with the signal detection by low-noise MCP. Pulsed sources of light include LEDs with excitation wavelengths 275, 305, 335 nm (FWHM 800 ps) и 375 nm (FWHM 90 ps). Available temperature range 20-70 C and 77 K; external magnetic fields in the range 0-700 Gauss.

2. Laser Flash Photolysis.
Kinetics of transient absorption could be recorded in the range of wavelengths 250-650 nm after the excitation at 266, 355 or 532 nm (FWHM 8 ns). Time resolution is around 20 ns, the available time range up to 1 ms. The temperature of cell could be changed in the range -100 – 90C.

3. Liquid chromatography station Agilent LC1200.
System for high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) equipped with thermostated autosampler and optical detection based on diode array detector.

4. Various equipment for biochemical studies.
Equipment for gel electrophoresis, different thermostats, shakers, centrifuges etc.
