Laboratory of MRI technologies

The MRI Technology Laboratory specializes in developing and clinically implementing advanced MRI diagnostics, including functional MRI, tractography, and quantitative assessment of cerebral blood flow. Particular emphasis is placed on innovative approaches for studying myelination processes, prenatal diagnosis of brain development disorders, and comprehensive evaluation of neurological and vascular pathologies.

Key research priorities focus on early detection of developmental abnormalities in children, investigating neurodegeneration mechanisms, monitoring post-injury recovery processes, and creating novel diagnostic algorithms. The laboratory has established specialized research groups to advance these objectives - the Magnetic Resonance Biophysics Group and, since 2024, the Functional Neuroimaging Youth Laboratory.

This organizational structure brings together experienced researchers and emerging scientific talent to push the boundaries of neuroimaging technology while maintaining strong connections between fundamental research and clinical applications. The laboratory's work bridges cutting-edge MRI technique development with practical diagnostic solutions for neurological disorders across the lifespan.
