Particular emphasis is placed on innovative approaches for studying myelination processes, prenatal diagnosis of brain development disorders, and comprehensive evaluation of neurological and vascular pathologies.
Key research priorities focus on early detection of developmental abnormalities in children, investigating neurodegeneration mechanisms, monitoring post-injury recovery processes, and creating novel diagnostic algorithms. The laboratory has established specialized research groups to advance these objectives - the Magnetic Resonance Biophysics Group and, since 2024, the Functional Neuroimaging Youth Laboratory.
